Applesauce,
Rosh Hashanah
Serves: 6 |
dried apples (from the supermarket)
1 big pan
water |

Put the apples in the pan filled with water until they are covered and
put them on low heat, half covered with lid and let simmer for about 2-3
hours until they are lightly pink and very soft. You may need to add
some water during the cooking.
Serving tips: Use a little of the cooking water with the apples to make
a compote.
Notes:
The quantity depends on the package, but from my own experience, make
one package at the time because they become normal size again. |
